Zillow can guess. I'll tell you. Fill this in and I'll reply personally, usually the same day.
Questions I get asked
How do you figure out what my home is worth?
Recent sales of similar homes nearby, adjusted for condition, updates and lot. Then I look at what's on the market competing with you. It's a judgment, not a formula, and I'll show you the comps I used.
Is this a real appraisal?
No. It's a broker's opinion of value, which is what you need to set a list price. A lender orders an appraisal later, once you're under contract.
Is there a cost or obligation?
No. You get a number and my reasoning. What you do with it is up to you.
Why is Zillow's estimate different from yours?
Zillow hasn't been inside your house. Its estimate is a model built on public records and can be off by a lot, in either direction, on any one home.
How fast will I hear back?
Usually the same day, sometimes the next morning if it comes in late. I reply myself.
